Healthy Diet for June 2 – Life’s a Beach

Have you planned your summer getaways yet? Relaxing on the beach with a good book is great, but this year put plenty of active leisure fun in your vacation plans, too.

  • Gather active beach or water gear. Get out the Frisbees, beach tennis or badminton equipment, beach balls, a kite, masks and snorkels—whatever gets you moving on or near the water.
  • Go dude! Enjoy active relaxation at a western dude ranch, a family camp, or a park campground. Take your hiking boots.
  • Plan ahead for balance. Visiting a theme park? Fit in a day or two for water play, biking, or some other active fun, too. In the city, take a walking tour.
  • Pack walking or running shoes. Make time for daily walks on the beach, around the city, on the trail or ship’s deck, or in any place your summer vacation takes you.
